On February 26th, the official Desert Oasis High School Instagram (@dodbacks) spread the news that the annual senior trip to Disneyland has been restored.
The trip will be taking place on April 26th and will only be taking 150 D.O. seniors. Senior students will be required to fill out a virtual Google form to receive a virtual packet which will then put them on a list to be reviewed by staff.
At first, the possibility of going to Disney seemed to be out of reach, but after much struggle with finding transportation to Disney, Student Council Director Bridget Wright found a bus for the senior trip.
Wright stated, “The orchestra trip, for some reason just didn’t work out. so we were able to take their buses instead.”
Upon hearing this news many senior’s spirits were lifted and are now greatly anticipating the event.
“They seem pretty excited! We’ve had a lot of interest on the forum so far,” shared Wright. “Of course, we have to do the grade checks and behavior checks and all of that stuff, but it looks like it’s going to be about 150 seniors. currently we are actually over the 150 but it’s first come first serve.”
