Blake Lively best known for her role as Serena Vanderwoodson in “Gossip Girl” starred in the long anticipated “It Ends With Us” film. This drama-romance adapted from the Colleen Hoover novel, and the director Justin Baldoni was the person who casted Blake Lively and stood on his choice by saying how incredible of an actor she is.
After the film was released, many controversial things had begun to occur. Firstly, on the premiere of “It Ends With Us” fans began to notice there wasn’t a single shot with the cast and Justin Baldoni together. But what stood out the most was Baldoni only appeared on the red carpet solo or side-by-side with his wife, Emily Baldoni. As well as many more of his family members, just never one shot with Blake or his other co stars. Before the Premiere had occurred, Colleen Hoover, Blake Lively and all of the other cast members had unfollowed Baldoni on Instagram.
Many fans had begun to notice that Blake had been doing interviews with all of her cast members while Baldoni had been interviewed solo. Something else that had been incredibly odd was when interviewers would ask Blake about how it was like to work with Baldoni and how they were able to catch that connection and chemistry on screen, the question was always avoided.
However, when Baldoni was asked about Lively, sources from MSN stated, “When asked about Lively on “Access Hollywood,” Baldoni gushed about the “brilliance of Blake
Lively” and how she informed his performance as Ryle. “She’s such a wonderful listener,” Baldoni said. “So, having her as a scene partner made me better.” This was found extremely odd due to the other cast members not even saying Justin’s name in any of the interviews.
Another source from CSN states, “Fans doubled down on the cast drama rumors when Slate — who plays Lively’s on-screen best friend Allysa — avoided directly answering a question about Baldoni’s directing chops. “Talk to me, what was that like — having (Justin Baldoni) be director but also scene partner?” an interviewer for Deadline asked Slate at the New York premiere. To which Slate answered, “I mean, what an intense job? To have to do so many things.” She added that she “was looking around just being like, ‘I’m good with just acting, I love it.’ “And at no point did she mention Baldoni.” Many of the cast members had been incredibly suspicious with giving no background information to the fans and letting them know what was going on. They have let suspicion creep in that something more serious had been going on.
Reportedly, Lively has accused Justin of fat-shaming her and kissing her for too long while filming the movie. The report states that during a scene where Justin had to lift Blake, he inquired about her weight due to his back issues. The comment bothered Blake. This comment left the entirety of the cast and especially Justin in shambles. Many fans have been hating on Blake for making such serious accusations and making lies. Many fans stand by what they’ve been saying because in many of these interviews that Blake has been have asked her about domestic-abuse which is what the film is about, and each time she ends up talking about her hair line or her husband and completely avoids the serious topic of domestic abuse. On the other hand, Baldoni has been incredibly serious about this topic and is an advocate and feminist to women’s rights and advocating where women can get help. The difference these two actors have taken upon this film is the reason many fans have taken Baldoni’s side because they have seen that Blake has not taken any of this seriously.
However, we do not know the full story behind what has happened and many of the fans still have many questions.
