Senior year: The Last Piece of the Puzzle

Destiny Chee and Ozzie Abarr

As the school year is coming to an end, seniors are still figuring out what’s coming next for them. Some will be going to college and some are still trying to figure out what path they are going to take next.

Some seniors fear of leaving high school because of change, change can be a powerful thing and scary because you never know what you can expect. Although, there are other seniors who can’t wait to leave high school because they are excited to experience the real world.

Throughout all 4 years of high school it has definitely been a roller coaster for each senior with so many ups and downs. Some seniors walked into high school with certain friends and may not be leaving with them and some are lucky and are leaving with them. Some seniors walked into high school thinking it was going to be like the movies but then stepped foot and realized it was nothing like the movies.

Freshman year, your new and have no idea what your doing and still trying to figure out where you fit in. You put some pieces together as the year ends but you realize you still have so much more to go.

Sophomore year, you know what your doing and your way around the school and who and who not to mess with but your still an underclassman and can’t do much. During this year, your getting more high school experiences and you kind of figured out who you are and you put more of the puzzle together and are now half way through.

Junior year, your finally an upperclassman and can finally go to prom but besides all the fun events you can finally join on in, you realize you have so much more to take on like ACT’s and harder classes. You get towards the end of the year and realize your almost done with the puzzle and its getting easier to get your way through it.

Finally Senior year, your the top of the school and have so much more freedom but with freedom comes big decisions, you start thinking about college, college essays, admissions, scholarships, and your future. All you want is to be a kid again and wish when you were a kid you never said “I wish I was older.”

End of Senior year is coming up and your trying to make the best of high school while your still in it, although your excited to leave your still questioning yourself on who you really are and what path you really want to take. Besides from college, you get to have prom and senior grad nite like you always wondered was going to be like when you were a freshman. The puzzle is almost done, you only have a few pieces left and when it hits graduation, thats it.

The puzzle is solved. It was so stressful but now your relieved that it’s finally over but now its time for life beyond high school and now you have a even bigger puzzle to solve.
