On December 13, 2023, Las Vegas witnessed a fatal stabbing that claimed the life of an individual. 18-year-old Elijah Candelaria, was arrested after a month-long investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The incident occurred on Mulcahy Avenue around 9:50pm. Elijah Candelaria is accused of fleeing the scene before law enforcement arrived. However, efforts by the police led to his arrest on Saturday, January 6. He has since been booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of open murder. The victim, whose identity is status pending release by the Clark County Coroner’s Office, had apparent stab wounds after being rushed to an area hospital.
